LED Display System Connects Business with Community

06/27/2012
As a small business owner and resident in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, Danny Alessandrini is actively involved in his local community. His business, The Real Estate Stop/Mortgage Center, serves the Sault and the surrounding Algoma District, and the business decisions he makes often benefit the community as well as his company.

Mr. Alessandrini recently made the decision to implement a TL Vision LED Display System from Trans-Lux to help better promote his company’s services. The Trans-Lux TL Vision 16mm LED display is located on a busy one way, four-lane street outside his office at the Sault Ste. Marie City Center. In keeping with his civic-minded attitude, he has also made the large screen outdoor display available for community purposes such as displaying images for veterans on Remembrance Day (November 11) or announcements for the city’s 100th birthday celebrations.

Before purchasing the display, Mr. Allesandrini consulted with the owners of Sault Ste. Marie’s other Trans-Lux TL Vision LED Display System, the Ontario Lottery Gaming Commission. According to Mr. Alessandrini, “The Commission was very helpful and steered us in the right direction. They had done all the work and due diligence previously, and recommended the Trans-Lux solution to us. All we had to do was follow up with their supplier/installer.”

The TL Vision 16mm LED Display System produces vivid, color-rich HD images in both still image and full motion video formats. It can be clearly seen from wide viewing angles and in virtually any lighting conditions. The company retained a local contractor to produce the display content and hired a full time operator to run the display.

“We love the clarity and the simple operation of the Trans-Lux TL Vision Display,” said Mr. Allesandrini. “Messages can be changed instantly from our iPhones. We can also more easily communicate our competitive mortgage rates to the community because it’s so easy to create and post the information.”

The TL-OV16 Trans-Lux TL Vision LED Display System has a 16mm pixel pitch and a resolution of 136H x 224L X 16mm. A brightness level of 6,000 nits and a viewing angle of 140° horizontal by 70° vertical help to ensure high visibility and clarity. TL Vision LED Display Systems are also robust to withstanding Northern Ontario’s harsh winter climates, as was proven with the Ontario Lottery’s Trans-Lux LED Display System.

Mr. Allesandrini confirms that the Trans-Lux TL Vision Display can be seen from a distance of ten blocks and is widely considered the most effective in the region. He says, “We intend to continue our support and assistance to the city with community announcements, amber alerts and so on. The TL Vision LED Display from Trans-Lux has proved to be one of the best decisions we’ve made, both for the company and for the city.”

Trans-Lux TL Vision LED Display Systems are 100% solid state and are designed with state-of-the-art electronics and high performance LEDs. The result is greater efficiency and a more uniform message presentation. TL Vision LED Display Systems require less power than incandescent or electromechanical displays to help save on energy requirements and maintenance costs.
